We're Getting Ready for Opening Day (and the rest of the season)!
Cosumnes River Little League (CRLL) Fields Director Scott Newby and Equipment Manager Neil Dixon decided to beat the rain and move one of our many field rehabilitation events to Friday, March 1st. 20 CRLL volunteers worked together for four hours to prepare the fields for the upcoming Little League season.
- Rebuilt Field #1 (Majors) pitcher's mound
- Installed new batting cage net
- Installed new bat racks in the Stonehouse Park dugouts
- Installed new bat racks in the Riverview Park dugouts
- Painted 3 backstops
- Cleaned-up bullpens/warm-up areas
- Replace the bullpen backstop on Field #1
- Snack Shack clean-out, maintenance, and restocking
As a registered non-profit organization, CRLL takes care to spend our limited funds in ways that benefit our community, our kids, and the games of baseball and softball. Every year we allocate thousands of dollars in materials and hundreds of hours in volunteer labor to help maintain and improve the facilities we use. We are grateful for past CRLL donors whose time and donations provided the infrastructure we all enjoy today: dugouts, scoreboards, lights, batting cage, fencing, sod, concrete, grading and leveling labor, and much more. CRLL is committed to making sure the facilities are maintained and are a source of pride for the community.
Thank you to all of our current and ongoing sponsors and volunteers for helping make our fields look great. It's more than just a place to play ball.... it's about creating a gathering spot where all members of the community can meet up, socialize, enjoy a meal, and create memories with their families.
Mark your calendars for Opening Day on March 16, 2019! For more information and updates, please check www.playcrll.com
