Security discussion of new gate, data collection

Opening the gate on Escuela Drive, collecting community contact information and creating a map of the community’s crime incidents were discussed at last week’s Joint Security Committee meeting. The Community Services District board continued its long-running conversation about security cameras at its Nov. 18 meeting. After more than an hour of conversation, the board voted to continue with the dozen cameras it approved last spring, but it left the door open to future changes. Read more »

Will RMA pay CSD to staff an Escuela gate?

[Change made Nov. 19] The Rancho Murieta Association board at Tuesday night's meeting discussed the possibility of paying the Community Services District to staff a new entrance-exit gate on Stonehouse Road. The board also discussed new holiday lights at the gates and the need to get another 66 ballots in before Thursday night’s annual meeting. Read more »

The Rancho Murieta Association and Community Services District will hold regular meetings this week, the RMA 6:30 Tuesday at the RMA Building and the CSD 5 p.m. Wednesday at the CSD Building. CSD chooses Graf for empty board seat

Morrison Graf, center, a Murietan for 18 years, shakes hands with Jerry Pasek, the Community Services District's board president, after the board selected Graf to fill an empty board seat Wednesday night. Graf's career in civil engineering and construction management, as well as his interview during the meeting, won him the spot from among what Pasek called "four super-super-qualified candidates." His seat will come up for election in November 2016. The 3½-hour meeting also heard complaints from Murieta Village residents about possible plans to change their bar-code access at the gates.
