RMA, CSD, Parks Committee meet this week

The Rancho Murieta Association and Community Services District will hold their regular monthly meetings this week, the RMA at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the RMA Building and the CSD at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the CSD Building. CSD chooses Graf for empty board seat

Graf's career in civil engineering and construction management, as well as his interview during the meeting, won him the spot from among what Pasek called "four super-super-qualified candidates." His seat will come up for election in November 2016. The 3½-hour meeting also heard complaints from Murieta Village residents about possible plans to change their bar-code access at the gates. CSD, RMA and SOLOS will meet Wednesday

The Community Services District directors will fill a vacancy on the board at a meeting 6 p.m. Wednesday at the CSD Building. The Rancho Murieta Association budget workshop is scheduled for the same time at the RMA Building. At 7:45 p.m., Saving Our Lakes & Open Spaces (SOLOS), a community group formed in response to development plans, will meet at the RMA Building. Read more »

CSD approves switch to solar power

The Community Services District board voted unanimously last week to use solar power for its water and wastewater treatment plants. As expected, the board approved an agreement with SolarCity that will save the CSD money immediately and lock in the electricity rate for the 20-year life of the contract. Read more »

County will improve Stonehouse to allow gate

The hill north of the Escuela gate will be lowered seven feet.

Safety improvements are coming for Stonehouse Road, Sacramento County announced late Monday, which will enable the Rancho Murieta Association to open the Escuela gate without having to fund the expensive road improvements. Read more »

Questions about cameras for new development
