Tony Avampato, the man who, working with the Women's Golf Club, gathered and arranged delivery for toys to the homeless kids of Paradise, reported on the weekend's delivery of toys: "There were over 200 toys and filled the entire front lobby!" he said after the delivery to the CHP office in Chico. "Thanks so much to everyone for all their hard work!" He added there are 2,000 displaced kids who need toys, and the way things are running they may have two toys for each child.
The CHP office shared these photos (our toys are in there) and said this pile of toys greeted them when they arrived in the morning. Given the volume, they're now asking that further donations be gift cards and that they be in hand by Friday.
