The River Valley Garden Club is hosting Sacramento Bee columnist Debbie Arrington at the February meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. Her topic is “Rose care basics for Sacramento Gardens.”
Debbie is vice president of the Sacramento Rose Society, a consulting rosarian for the American Rose Society and an award-winning rose grower and exhibitor.
She will cover the basics from winter pruning and planting, spring fertilization, summer deadheading and prolonging blooms into fall. Her talk will have emphases on the best roses to grow in our Sacramento region.
We invite any one in our area to come and visit our group and/or join. We are open to all Wilton, Sloughouse, and Rancho Murieta residents. Our meetings are on the fourth Tuesday of each month at the RMA Building in Rancho Murieta, except July and August. Social hour at 6:30 PM and Program and Meeting at 7PM.
