The Rancho Murieta Rotary Club is seeking nominations of current high school juniors to award a scholarship to a leadership camp. The award (Rotary Youth Leadership Award, RYLA) is given to students that have shown leadership among their peers at any level.  Friday is the entry deadline.

This will be the fifth year that Rancho Murieta Rotary Club has awarded this prestigious award. The winner will be given the opportunity to attend a week long fully funded leadership development camp in the Sierras. Every recipient comes back enthusiastically describing how this turns out to be a life changing experience.

While at camp, students will work with adult mentors brought in from all over the country to help the students develop leadership, team building and problem solving skills. The students will be met with challenges that they may feel they will never be able to overcome and by the end of the week will be able to take them on without hesitation.

The Rancho Murieta community is encouraged to submit the names of CURRENT high school juniors, the nominees' contact information and a brief description as to why they are nominating this young person. All nominations are to be emailed to and must be received by Friday April 12, 2013.
