Tuesday, February 25th is the date of the next meeting for the local garden club. “Helping the Honeybees in Your Garden” is the topic for our February meeting.

Local Sacramento “Bee Lovers” Kim Felix and Lindsay Weaver, who started the Sacramento Beekeeping Cooperative, are coming to share their ideas for helping to encourage honeybees to visit our gardens.  They will share their love for bees and the types of plants to encourage them to come to your backyard.  They also will have information on bee keeping.  Installation and maintenance of bee hives and honey extraction and will be discussed. There will samples of honey and some small jars of honey for sale.

We invite any one in our area to come and visit our group and/or join. We are open to all Wilton, Sloughouse, and Rancho Murieta residents.  Our meetings are the 4th Tuesday of each month at the RMA Building in Rancho Murieta.  Social hour at 6:30 p.m. and program and meeting at 7 p.m.  For more information, Contact membership Co-Chairs: Doris Lighty 354-0391 or Candy Hearn 354-1486.
