Frank Lucia and Robert Cloud will be the featured guest speakers at the Rancho Murieta Kiwanis Club meeting 7 a.m. March 6.

Lucia, who taught, coached and was the principal of three Elk Grove high schools, will be talking about PATH (People Assisting the Homeless) program in Elk Grove.  PATH was established by Mr. Lucia, Debbie Schoeneshoefer, and other concerned Elk Grove citizens.

Robert Cloud will explain (with the help of a CD) about life as a homeless man in Elk Grove and how the PATH program assisted his return to a productive, responsible life.

Mr. Lucia’s whole professional career was working in Elk Grove’s School District.  He was a teacher, coach, and the principal of Valley High, Elk Grove High School and was the start-up principal for Pleasant Grove High School 8 years ago.

Other subjects concerning the homeless in Elk Grove will be presented – such as The Sanctuary Program, which involved several Elk Grove churches providing over night accommodations during the winter months.  The Elk Grove Food Bank has helped and supported all of these efforts.
