Tuesday, January 28th is the date of the next meeting for the local garden club. The speaker for the evening is Chris Strutz, owner of Strutz farms, at Indio Drive, off Hwy 16.

Chris graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Horticulture. He currently works as an Agricultural Pest Control Advisor for Crop Production Services.

The topic for the evening will be “Understanding Mandarins and other Citrus”.  He will be discussing the history of Mandarins and as well as the sustainability of soil fertility and organic management practices to improve citrus health.

We invite any one in our area to come and visit our group and/or join.
