Kernan was driving a state vehicle at the time of his arrest, the CHP said.

The "tip of the iceberg" is that Scott Kernan is a good person who made a mistake and will pay for it. He is a good family man, a good father, and a good friend. He is well liked and respected by everybody who knows him. We all mistakes in life, but most of us don't get to read about them in the local papers. Fortunately nobody was hurt and I know Scott will learn from this.

The Bee reports Scott Kernan will plead guilty to DUI after being arrested June 7 on Jackson Road while driving a state vehicle.
