QuickPoll: Police powers for RM's Security?
[This poll, open July 1-3, 2009, is closed.] If Sacramento County has to make good on its threatened decimation of sheriff's deputies on patrol, should the Rancho Murieta Community Services District respond by once again examining the possibility of a security force with police powers?

I get the impression that because of the inability of RMA to solve some of the real problems face by the community such as our water needs, the board, float these trial balloons to give the appearance that something is been done.
Please relieve me of the idea of I am in correct.

Dennis,
Ranchomurieta.com is not affiliated with the association. This is an unscientific poll that in the past isnt exactly accurate. Water needs for the community is CSD's venue.

Thanks for the education Andy. I was making a general statement about the Governing bodies in Rancho Murrieta. To say there in no need. Let us fix a problem when there is one, such as water availability for the growth you support.

Does anyone else see a pattern here?
There really is a "head in the sand" approach over at the CSD. It's true of security, and also true of the water issues. We aren't the community we were many years ago, we've already missed many opportunities to do things in an efficient manner so that the community does not have to pay more than it should. Because of this denial, on many fronts, the community, in the end, will be the ones lose. With a bit of forethought, we could fix some security problems AND manage this water issue better.
