Rancho Murieta children between the ages of 8 and 17 have the opportunity to take a free plane ride and join the ranks of the Young Eagles on Sunday, Nov. 4, from 9 a.m. to noon, during the airport’s monthly open house for the public.
A free pancake breakfast will be served by the Flying Vikings Club and vintage aircraft will be on display. The Rancho Murieta Aviators, the Flying Vikings Club, Rancho Rotors and other volunteer Experimental Aircraft Association aviators will contribute their time and aircraft to hold the event.
The Young Eagles program was founded in 1992 by the Experimental Aircraft Association to provide young people with an introduction to flying. Parental application and permission forms will be provided at the event.
