Hundreds attended St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church's annual open-air Mass and picnic Sunday morning at Lake Clementia.
Many of those present took part in Holy Communion.
Devin McKenna, 10, hoisted his brother, Aidan, 5, to give him a better view.
After Mass, it was a walk up the hill to the picnic.
There was plenty of shade, and some people brought their own.
Paul Samson was among the cooks on the grill.
While children enjoyed the bounce houses and water slide, adults settled in the shade and visited.
The church provided a full menu of barbecue and picnic fixings served buffet style. Salads were kept on ice in colorful kiddie pools.
Enjoying the view of the lake were Joseph Merino and his son Joseph, 2, and daughter, Tara, center. That's Kailey Middleton at left.
