Foreverland

Like Michael Jackson's music? So do the musicians of Foreverland.

ETC opens another summer of shows at Lake Clementia Amphitheater 8:30 p.m. Saturday with the music of Foreverland, a tribute to Michael Jackson. Dancing shoes are optional but recommended. For this 15th anniversary show, tickets are $15 for ETC members and $25 for non-members. (It’s an extra $5 if you buy at the gate.)

Foreverland’s 14 members joined forces in the Bay Area in 2009 and have played around the country. Foreverland features four vocalists, power horns and a strong rhythm section, playing the Michael Jackson hits from every era, starting with the Jackson 5.

From the band’s website: “A different kind of tribute band, you won’t see any impersonations here. Instead, Foreverland simply aims to honor and do justice to the music and spirit of the King of Pop. Throughout this truly unforgettable performance, die-hard fans will relive their favorite MJ moments, and younger crowds will rediscover the amazing music that remains timeless.”

Yay!

Thank you, thank you ETC! Foreverland is fantastic! It's so nice to have shows that sell out Bimbo's, Fox Theater, Slim's and Harlow's right here. See everyone by the lake!
