[Updated 6:35 p.m.] The CHP reports Jackson Road has reopened after a head-on collision on the stretch between Stonehouse and Latrobe roads. The collision between two SUVs occurred about 4:30 p.m. Before the road reopened, eastbound and westbound traffic was directed to use Stonehouse and Latrobe roads to bypass the accident scene, according to Sgt. 5:49 p.m. Lisa's information is correct; can bypass accident scene with Latrobe/Stonehouse, although heavy traffic/delays, even on Stonehouse. Nephew, CHP LT, visiting us, just reported in conversation with dispatch, can bypass on Latrobe/Stonehouse. Attempting through Security to get Escuela Gate opened.
I came upon the accident minutes after it occured and it looked pretty bad. This would be a very good time to send positive thoughts to all involved...
