A visit from the ice cream lady
If you thought you heard the music of an ice cream truck outside Saturday, you were right. Alicia Correia of the Optimists handed out frozen treats all over Rancho Murieta -- for kids, 25 cents; for adults, whatever they wanted to donate. Correia said the idea was to give Murieta kids their first experience with an ice cream truck. Her day started overcast on the South but ended with hot August sun on the North.

Does anyone know where the truck is or how to track it? We would like our son to be able to join in the fun!
This was baby Charlie's first Ice Cream truck so I took a couple photos.

Waiting for the truck.

Our kids had a blast and were excited to have this special treat today. Thank you for making this happen.
We would love to join in the fun. Let us know if there is anything we can do to make it happen again!
The ice cream truck is returning Saturday May 25th. Keep checking RM.com for more details.

Alicia has been talking about getting an ice cream truck out here for the kiddos for at least a year now. It was such a treat to see her dream for the kids in the community come true today. Many thanks to the Optimist Club and Alicia for giving Charlie his first ever ice cream truck experience, right here in RM!
