Summerfest

Red square Photo gallery: 59 shots of the participants and the rides and games

The Summerfest carnival began its annual two-day run at Stonehouse Park Friday night, delighting a large crowd with all-time favorites plus new thrill rides like Pharaoh’s Fury. In addition to kiosks offering carnival treats, the neon-bright midway offered carnival goers of all ages opportunities to test their skills to win anything from a goldfish to a giant stuffed animal. Added to the usual carnival foods was the presence of food trucks. The fun continues Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The schedule of activities is available here. (Click photo for larger image.)
