CSD continues push to extend its role

In two committee meetings last week, the Community Services District continued a push to broaden its role. At one session, it talked about the Rancho Murieta Association’s need to clean up RMA policy around the variety of homeowner associations that exist – or will soon – in Rancho Murieta. More than a dozen decorated carts took part, broadcasting holiday music and looping their way up and down Village streets at sundown, led by Santa and parade organizers Zoe Lasater and Espe Walker, who handed out candy canes. Local creativity and skills were on display Saturday as the Murieta Village Clubhouse became a shopper's delight for the Craft Fair and Bake Sale. Vendors presided over colorful tables of handcrafted items made from yarn, fabric and even gourds, and the library was transformed into a bakery. Murieta Village Craft Fair is Nov. 5

Murieta Village is holding its annual Craft Fair and Bake Sale Saturday, Nov. 5 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Village Clubhouse. The sale of handmade items and home-baked treats marks the start of holiday shopping for Rancho Murieta.

Two vehicles stolen in Village and nearby

Two vehicle thefts occurred overnight Monday, Security reports. A  golf cart was stolen from Carmella Circle in Murieta Village and a pickup truck was taken from nearby Operating Engineers Local Union No. 3 training center on Cantova Way. A second truck at the Operating Engineers parking lot was broken into and a Corvette at the Village location was gone through, according to Security Log entries. Read more »

Murieta Village held its annual craft fair and bake sale Saturday, filling the clubhouse with tables of handmade decorative items, jewelry, knitwear, artwork and even freshly shelled walnuts. Vendors chatted with a steady stream of neighbors and customers to get the holiday shopping season off to a robust start.

The holiday season kicks off Saturday with the annual Murieta Village craft fair and bake sale. The event takes place at the Murieta Village Clubhouse from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cookies and coffee will be served at the door.

Village Craft FaireThe annual Murieta Village Craft Faire and Bake Sale started the holiday shopping season Saturday with a crowd-pleasing variety of handmade items from local vendors that included knit hats and scarves, brightly patterned carry-alls, appliqué placemats, potholders, holiday decorations, art work, and jewelry, as well as homemade treats ranging from candy apples to snickerdoodle cookies.
