The Rancho Murieta Association board of directors voted Thursday night to keep operating and maintenance costs for the cable system in the 2010 budget after President Jim Moore made a surprise departure from the course endorsed by the Ad Hoc Cable TV Committee. Moore is a member of the committee.

The draft budget would keep monthly dues at $141 and RMA members could continue to opt out of paying programming costs if they choose not to use RMA cable TV. Square Click to see: The cable issue is the first question in the new RMA elections forum

The reserve contribution for cable would remain in all members' dues.  The Communications and Finance committees endorsed the approach at meetings this month, and the Ad Hoc Cable Committee voted for it last month. RE: Upcoming Vote on Maintenance and Operations of a Common Area

From: Scott Adams

Dear Directors,

It has come to my attention that you will soon vote on whether Rancho Murieta Association ("RMA") should continue to collect funds to maintain, manage and operate our cable facility via the Regular Assessment as required by the RMA Governing Documents. Unfortunately, it appears several Directors are actually considering voting against that course of action, which RMA has followed since RMA gained ownership of the facility.
