Lacrosse fundraiser June 28

The Pleasant Grove Lacrosse Club is holding a rund-raising summer dance party for adults at Lake Clementia Amphitheater from 6 to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 28.

The event for the fast-growing youth activity features the Jay Rolerz Band, a Texan Roadhouse barbecue dinner of ribs and chicken with all the fixings, a silent auction, and a lacrosse shot game. Summerfest Wine and Food Gala takes place Saturday

The 9th annual Summerfest Wine and Food Gala takes place Saturday, May 17, from 6 to 11 p.m. at Rancho Murieta Airport. It's a large-scale event that features wines from Amador County and Napa Valley wineries and food from fine area restaurants. Entertainment includes dancing to the music of rhythm and blues band Love Train, live and silent auctions, and a flying demonstration by local aviators. Trash 'n' Treasure spaces available

There are still spaces available at Trash 'n' Treasure, the community's version of the yard sale. This annual incentive to clear out the house and garage and make some money in the process takes place Saturday, June 7, from 8 a.m. to noon at the Plaza. Spaces rent for $40. Hundreds attended Sunday's kick-off event at Lake Clementia Park for the 2008 Entertainment, Theatre and Culture for Rancho Murieta summer season. They enjoyed a selection of wines from award-winning local wineries and desserts created by notable restaurants and bakery chefs. Live music was provided by Robert Monteleone's Symposium Jazz Band.
