RMA and CSD boards meet this week

The Rancho Murieta Association and Community Services District boards hold their regular monthly meetings this week, the RMA on Tuesday and the CSD on Wednesday.

The RMA meeting, at the RMA Building, begins at 6:30. The general manager’s report includes updates on a Highway 16 guard rail, a wildlife permit for Lake Clementia,  a trail plan exhibit and an Escuela Gate.

The CSD meeting, at the CSD Building, begins at 5 p.m., and the agenda includes annual reports on the CSD security and field operations, and a discussion of the district’s role in the Parks Committee.

Development took center stage at the Community Services District last week with a public meeting on a water supply report that concludes there is enough water for 827 new residential lots proposed for Rancho Murieta North. RMA, CSD boards meet this week

The Rancho Murieta Association and Community Services District boards hold their regular monthly meetings this week, the RMA at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday and the CSD at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The RMA meeting takes place at the RMA Building.  Action items on the agenda include the appointment of committee members, the Stonehouse Road/Escuela gate, and a midge fly ad hoc committee.

The open session of the CSD meeting, at the CSD Building, includes approving a water supply assessment report for North development carried over from December, payment of additional inspection fees for the new water treatment plant, a North Gate use agreement with the Rancho Murieta Association, and a gate policy.

Rain means good things for our reservoirs

Our promising start to the rainy season has meant good things for the community’s reservoirs, with more than 40 million gallons added already, the Community Services District says.

Paul Siebensohn, the CSD’s director of field operations, said the Cosumnes River’s flows allowed the CSD to begin diverting river water into our reservoirs on Dec. 12. As of Dec. 23, the reservoir combined capacity was at 82.5 percent.

This is far ahead of where we were in 2013 (62.5 percent) but about where we were last year (81.9 percent), when we had a rainy start to the winter. Read more » about Rain means good things for our reservoirs

RMA and CSD boards meet this week

The Rancho Murieta Association and Community Services District boards hold their regular monthly meetings this week, the RMA on Tuesday and the CSD on Wednesday.

The RMA meeting, at the RMA Building, opens at 5 p.m. with an organizational meeting to select officers and appoint committee chairs. Then the board goes into executive session and returns for the regular meeting, which begins at 6:30. The agenda includes announcing the winners of the annual holiday lights contest.

The CSD meeting, at the CSD Building, begins at 5 p.m., and the agenda includes voting to approve a water supply assessment report.
