Start planning donations to Sweats for Vets

The holidays aren’t far off, so it’s time to start thinking about Sweats for Vets, the annual collection effort headed up by Kiwanis. They’re seeking items for men and women – sweat shirts (and sweatpants and jackets), thermal underwear, sports bras, socks, warm gloves and hats, jackets, blankets and tennis shoes. Items will be donated to the Sacramento V.A. Medical Center at Mather. RMA heads for $4 monthly dues increase

Following a budget workshop last week, the Rancho Murieta Association is headed for a 2.96 percent dues increase of $4 a month.  If the proposed 2018 budget is approved, the monthly assessment RMA members pay would be $139 starting in January. Landlords challenge club on sale possibilities

Carol Anderson Ward and John Sullivan – longtime Murietans, Country Club members and more recently North developers and owners of the club’s land – say club officials are promoting a fiction in this month’s election when they give the impression there are ongoing talks with Bob Husband about the possible purchase of the club. 'Meet the Candidates' at the Country Club
