CSD will continue talk about land purchase

The Community Services District board will continue a discussion about acquiring the Country Club property and other land at its monthly meeting 5 p.m. Wednesday at the CSD Building. The land acquisition was proposed for consideration last month.  The meeting agenda is available here.

Amateur event tees it up at Country Club

Amateur Championship

About 120 players teed off Saturday morning on the South Course as the Country Club hosted the Golf Channel’s Central California Amateur Championship, part of its Golf Am Tour. The tour has multiple flights and is open to men and women. Among the participants is Johnny Frink, the club’s executive chef. The players move to the North Course on Sunday for the final round. The top three players per flight earn a qualifying spot in the tour’s national championship. (Click photo for larger image.)

Rancho Murieta's annual Veterans Day celebration, a relatively new community event, had its biggest turnout yet Friday morning as dozens of people gathered at the Rancho Murieta Association Building for coffee and doughnuts and to honor those who served. The veterans on hand, including one woman, served in peace and wartime as far back as World War II. Read more »

Getting ready for the new Greens Park

The community is planning a dedication in the next week or two for the new Greens Park, off Jigger Court on the South. The three-acre park, which is surrounded by a wetlands preserve, was funded in January and construction started in June.
