The rehabilitation of the 1.2-million-gallon Rio Oso water tank is scheduled to begin this week, and the Community Services District has asked residents in Units 3 and 4 -- the area above the second Guadalupe Drive -- to curtail or reschedule landscape irrigation so it won't occur between 5 and 10 a.m. This will ensure there'll be enough water to meet peak morning water demands.
The rehabilitation project was delayed until an alternative delivery system was developed to compensate for having the 30-year-old metal tank off-line. The tank will be online by next summer when the million-dollar-plus rehabilitation project is completed, according to the CSD.
The notice from the CSD about water usage and a map of the service area are available
