Security asks the community’s help in solving weekend incidents in which burned matches and small amounts of flammable material were found on three doorsteps in Rancho Murieta North.
Security Chief Greg Remson gave the following account:
The first incident was reported Saturday on Via Sereno, where a small amount of dry grass was left on a doorstep. The grass appeared to have been partially lit with matches, but nothing else burned.
This is what was found on the Via Sereno doorstep.
The second and third incidents were reported Sunday on Camino De Luna. One resident found burned matches on the doorstep; another found a small amount of bark and burned matches on the doorstep. The bark did not burn because it was wet.
Remson said a Sacramento Metro Fire Department arson investigator has been notified of the incidents.
Remson asked that anyone with information share it with Security at 354-3743.
