Greens Park in South gets committee OK

Development of the Greens Park on the South will move forward despite higher-than-expected costs. The Parks Committee gave the go-ahead at its meeting this month to rebid the project after Rancho Murieta Association representatives outlined a plan to reduce costs and provide additional funding. RMA, CSD meetings, RMA annual meeting

The Rancho Murieta Association and Community Services District boards hold their monthly meetings this week. The RMA board meets at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at the RMA Building and the CSD meets at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the CSD Building.

In addition, the annual RMA members’ meeting and election of directors takes place 7 p.m. Thursday at the RMA Building. The four candidates running for two seats on the board are Alexander Bauer, Robert Brown, Greg Mason and Jeff Morehead.

The agenda for Tuesday’s RMA board meeting includes committee activities.

Action items on the CSD agenda include a proposal to update capital improvement and water supply augmentation fees and an appointment to a Parks subcommittee on trails.

Dedicating the new Clementia boat ramp

The ramp project, handled by Hart's RMA crew, allows boats to get in and out of the lake safely. Fishing Club thanks RMA for new boat ramp

The Rancho Murieta Fishing Club is inviting the community to a ribbon-cutting ceremony 2 p.m. Wednesday to open the new boat ramp at Lake Clementia. It's an opportunity to thank the Rancho Murieta Association, RMA Maintenance Manager Rod Hart and his staff and to support the Rancho Murieta Fishing Club. Pouring the new boat ramp at Clementia

A Rancho Murieta Association crew works Wednesday afternoon on the concrete slab for the new boat ramp at Lake Clementia. The ramp, 20 by 40 feet, is being done at a community cost of $4,000, including a $500 donation from the Fishing Club. The job required two trucks' worth of concrete. Click photo for larger image. With little fanfare or discussion, the Rancho Murieta Association board of directors Tuesday night unanimously approved a 2017 budget that raises member dues from $132 to $135 a month, a 2.27 percent increase. The board also gave the Women’s Club permission to use non-conforming signs for its blood drive next week and approved a Fishing Club request to build a new boat ramp on Lake Clementia.
