
The Sacramento County Department of Transportation installed a half-dozen signs on White Rock, Scott, Latrobe and Jackson roads this week to provide better directions and raise awareness about Rancho Murieta. When the signage idea was suggested at the Joint Security Committee in July, community entities were asked to share the cost. But once word reached the county, that wasn’t necessary. “When the Rancho Murieta Country Club, Rancho Murieta Association and Rancho Murieta Community Services District requested additional signage to make it easier for visitors to reach Rancho Murieta, we were pleased to make it happen,” explained Sacramento County Supervisor Roberta MacGlashan in a statement. “We expect that the new signs will make it far easier for visitors and guests to navigate the county’s rural road system connecting the eastern Highway 50 corridor to Rancho Murieta.” The signage is now included in the county’s regular budget for roadway signs.
