Greenfield Communications says it worked over the weekend to try to address the electrical issues that have repeatedly disrupted the community’s cable TV and internet services in recent weeks. They say they may have identified the problem.
From the beginning, it was understood the problem was the wiring at the community’s “head end,” the clearinghouse for cable and internet data, but finding the specific electrical issue has been a challenge.
For customers, the problems began Aug. 11, when an underground SMUD line failed, knocking out power to the head end.
