The Sacramento Valley Conservancy is holding its first mountain bike tour of Deer Creek Hills Saturday, June 27, from 7:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. Mountain bike docents will escort riders on single track, cattle paths and ranch roads.
Deer Creek Hills is a blue oak and grasslands preserve of over 4,000 acres adjacent to Rancho Murieta. The pastureland serves as a working cattle ranch from November through May, and the cattle have proven to be superb designers for single track trails that are suitable for beginners and families, according to the conservancy.
Bike helmets are required for all riders. The cost of the outing is $10. Read more » about Deer Creek Hills bike tour June 27
